accompany samples sent or transported to an analytical laboratory by individuals other than a
member of the field sampling team, with a copy retained on file by the originator.
S Decontamination of Sampling Equipment
Decontamination of non-dedicated sampling equipment will be accomplished by rinsing all
equipment surfaces with diluted detergent, scrubbing as necessary, followed by deionized
water as described in Section B.5, "Standard Practice for Decontamination of Field Equipment"
(Appendix B). Decontamination of non-dedicated sampling equipment will be conducted
immediately after use at a sampling location. Between sampling events, decontaminated
equipment will be stored in protective containers or sealed plastic bags when feasible and
appropriate.
6 Analytical Program
The monitor well name, monitoring frequency and type for each site is specified in Appendix A.
A list of analytes, typically requested by the BLM or other agencies, may be found in Table 3
with additional detail contained in the NS Environmental Monitoring Plan and the Code of
Federal Regulation (40 CFR, Chapter 1, Subchapter D, Part 136, 2009 edition). The analytical
methods used for groundwater analyses as specified in Section B.6, "General Considerations for
the Sampling of Liquids" (Appendix B), are typically from the EPA Methods for the Chemical
Analysis of Water and Wastes.
Commercial laboratories provide analytical services to ensure data of known documented
quality. At the time of this report, ACZ Laboratories, Inc. (an EPA approved laboratory) in
Steamboat Springs, Colorado, provides the analytical laboratory analysis and results. Validation
of field and analytical data will be accomplished using Daub oversight, subsequent to an
internal review of the field data by NS personnel and laboratory data by laboratory personnel.
Daub&Associates, Inc. 7 NS LLC 2022 SAP
