EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The post mining land use of the project site is crop land with alfalfa or grass hay. Grazing of livestock
will be on the 27.86 acres of area reclaimed. The purpose of this project is to provide economic benefit
for the land owner in viable growing medium.
f) Description of each of the following:
L Topsoil
Suitable soil depth for plant growth medium of 6 inches will be stockpiled on
site. Topsoil will be screened, salvaged and stockpiled. Topsoil will be seeded
with the seed mixture and application rates attached as Exhibit E-1. Stockpiles
of topsoil available on site will be located separate from other stockpiles
ii. Revegetation
All available topsoil and subsoil resources will be used as a plant growth
medium. Top soil will be replaced to a depth of six(6) inches where possible.
The seedbed shall be settled and firm to ensure proper setting of the alfalfa or
grass hay seeds. The area will be prepared in a manner to accommodate proper
seedling germination. Fertilizer and straw mulch will be applied as necessary.
iii. Fertilization
The fertilization will be done by the land owner.
iv. Final Grading
The remaining benches will be mined in the same manner, proceeding
North and downward until at final ground level. As these benches
proceed, the West wall will be sloped to a 3:1 grade. This will keep a safe
working environment in addition to ensuring adequate material for final
reclamation without any additional material needing to be hauled in.
Storm water control measures will include sloping benches back 1%to
retain possible runoff berming, pit wall sloping, and pit floor back sloping
will be used to ensure all storm waters are retained on site.
Final constriction will include final stabilization, topsoil placement and
seeding of all slopes and pit floor. The owner has requested alfalfa or
grass hay be seeded for reclamation. Road access will be on private
property owned by land owner.
