ERC Young Ranch Resource <br /> Aquatic Resource Delineation Report <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report summarizes the delineation of aquatic resources completed by Ecological Resource Consultants, Inc. <br /> (ERC) for the proposed Young Ranch Resource (Project). The survey area subject of this aquatic resource <br /> delineation is defined as an approximate 469.7-acre DRMS Permit Boundary(survey area)that is situated within <br /> the overall 4,500-acre Young Ranch property. The purpose of this report is to provide a formal delineation of <br /> aquatic resources within the survey area. This report documents aquatic resource boundary determinations for <br /> verification and jurisdictional review by the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). <br /> 2.0 LOCATION <br /> The survey area is located on the north side of 1-70 and east of Idaho Springs in the counties of Clear Creek and <br /> Gilpin, Colorado. More specifically, the survey area is located in Section 27, 28, and 29, in Gilpin County, and <br /> Sections 32, 33 and 34 in Clear Creek County, Township 3 South, Range 72 West (latitude 39.755000 north, <br /> longitude 105.452220 west).The survey area is bordered to the west by undeveloped forest, Central City Parkway <br /> (CCP) to the North, State Highway 119 and undeveloped forest to the east, and CCP to the South. From 1-70, the <br /> survey area can be accessed by heading west and taking Exit 243 to Hidden Valley, Central City for approximately <br /> 2.5 miles until reaching right-of-way pull out on the west side of Central City Parkway. The survey area is best <br /> accessed by parking along the pullouts to the CCP and hiking into the survey area.The survey area is predominantly <br /> forestland with herbaceous understory.
