ERC Young Ranch Resource
Aquatic Resource Delineation Report
AQUATIC RESOURCE A (0.062 ACRES)
Aquatic Resource A comprises PEM2A habitat situated within a topographic drainage in the southern portion of
the survey area. The topographic drainage generally flows to the west along a roadside ditch. Hydrology within
Aquatic Resource A appears to be supported from stormwater runoff and sheet flow from CCP during precipitation
events and from surrounding upslope areas. At the time of the delineation, surface water was not observed flowing
into Aquatic Resource A. Aquatic Resource A is completely hydrologically isolated (no hydrologic direct surface
connection to other aquatic resources) and surrounded by CCP to the south and uplands to the north, east and
west.Any hydrology within Aquatic Resource A remains within a topographic closed base and evaporates.
Overall, the vegetation community with Aquatic Resource A is dominated by mountain brome (Bromus carinatus),
slender wheatgrass (Elymus trachycaulus), yellow Sweetclover (Melilotus officinalis) and alpine timothy (Phleum
alpinum). The area contains a temporarily flooded water regime. Alpine timothy and slender wheatgrass are the
dominate hydrophytic species (FAC).
Soils within Aquatic Resource A are generally sandy loam textured meeting criteria for hydric soil indicators S5
(Sandy Redox). At the time of the delineation, primary wetland hydrology indicators B3(Drift Deposits),B6(Surface
Soil Cracks) and B8 (Sparsely Vegetated Concave Surface) were observed within Aquatic Resource A. Additionally,
secondary indicators B10 (Drainage Pattern) and D2 (Geomorphic Position), was observed. Aquatic Resource A
meets the criteria for a wetland based on the presence of hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soils, and wetland
hydrology.
Aquatic Resource A comprises a total of 0.062 acres within the survey area. Refer to Photos 1-2 below for
characteristics within Aquatic Resource A.
; r<
Id44
Photo 1.Overview facing east of Aquatic Resource A within the Photo 2. The topographic drainage generally slopes to the north between two mountain ridges.
Hydrology within Aquatic Resource B appears to be supported by hydrology from a seasonal ground water
December 13, 2021 7
