Piceance Pit,Permit No.M-2001-077,Bonding Input Values for SO-3
Dear Mr.Almond:
This reclamation cost update was in response to the Succession of Operator application (SO-3)
which was submitted on December 6, 2021 and a site inspection conducted on December 16, 2021.
Currently the pit is operated by a government agency and no bond is required. In order for a private
company to take over the permit the bond value must be determined.
Below is a table summarizing input values that have been updated in SO-3. This table does not
account for price changes resulting from inflation or other RS Means cost changes. Bond
calculations are based on a combination of field observations and worst case scenario based on the
approved reclamation permit
Task Form Used Description
Demo Currently no features to be removed
Grader No Highwalls around pond requiring grading
Pumping Pond does not need to be dewatered to complete reclamation
01a Rip Rip compacted stockpile areas (5.56 ac)
02a Scrapper Spread Topsoil
17 ac currently affected.
