All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this d ate of filing. Elk Ridge Mining and Reclamation, LLC proposes to continue surface coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located approximately 2.5 miles Northwest of Nucla. The permit area is further described as follows: Portions of Sections 25 and 36, T 47 N, R 16 W, N.M.P.M.. The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map(s): Nucla. Elk Ridge Mining and Reclamation has applied for a permit renewal of the New Horizon North Mine. This renewal application does not propose revisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, nor is there any proposed surface disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area.
