PERMIT #: M-2021-027
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: December 9, 2021
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine monitoring inspection conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS, accompanied by permittee
representative Justin Smith of Oak Creek Consulting. The site entrance is located on the east side of WCR 23
approximately 600 feet north of the intersection with WCR 118. The site is a 9.88 acre 110c permit with a
$33,060 reclamation bond. The approved reclamation plan for the site is rangeland. The site identification
sign was present (photo 1) and permit boundary markers were observed.
This permit was issued in 2021 and active mining was taking place during the inspection. The majority of the
permitted area has been affected at this time and mining activity was taking place in accordance with the
approved mining plan. The primary excavation is located near the center of the permit area to make room for
a processing plant, then being expanded first to the east, then westward. Stockpiled material was located at
the west end of the permit and along the north permit boundary. Overburden and topsoil stockpiles were
placed along the south permit boundary. Mr. Smith stated that they may wish to convert the site soon to a
larger 112c permit due to demand for material in the area.
No other issues were noted during this inspection.
Inspection Contact Address
Justin Smith
Oak Creek Consulting and Production Services L.L.0
PO Box 251
Ault, CO 80610
