DunAY SILVER MINES <br /> 4.2.7 Heating Coils (40 CFR 112.8(c)(7)) <br /> No permanent heating coils exist on any tank at this site. Several 55 gallon drum element <br /> heaters are present on site and used as needed. <br /> 4.2.8 Overfill Prevention Systems (40 CFR 112.8(c)(8)) <br /> Secondary containment is provided in the event of overfills. Storage drums are not refilled with <br /> new product and therefore overfill prevention systems do not apply. <br /> 4.2.9 Effluent Treatment Facilities (40 CFR 112.8(c)(9)) <br /> The facilities stormwater is directed to the passive water treatment system at the main site. At <br /> the Atlas Tailing Storage Facility stormwater reports to a sediment settling ponds and due to <br /> the secondary containment provided, there are no effluent treatment facilities at the current <br /> time. <br /> 4.2.10 Visible Discharges (40 CFR 112.8(c)(10)) <br /> Any indication of leakage from any container or appurtenance including seams, gaskets, piping, <br /> pumps, valves, rivets or bolts will result in maintenance corrections conducted promptly. <br /> Spills of hydrocarbons or designated chemicals found within containment and diversion <br /> structures will be promptly removed and disposed of in accordance with the waste disposal <br /> described in Part 5 of this Plan. <br /> 4.2.11 Mobile and Portable Containers (40 CFR 112.8(c)(11)) <br /> Small hydrocarbon storage containers such as 55 gallon drums are stored in the the Materials <br /> Storage Warehouse (C-3), the Waste Storage Pad (C-4), the Loci Barn Underground (C-6), the <br /> Underground Shop (C-7),the 1800 Level (C-10), and the Mill (C-11) on spill pallets or concrete <br /> containment. <br /> The Backup Generators (C-5 & C-9) while mobile, will only operate at its current location and as <br /> needed during a power outage. <br /> 4.3 Transfer Operations, Pumping and In-Plant Processes (40 CFR 112.8(d)) <br /> Transfer operations at this facility include: <br /> Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan 25 1 P a g e <br />
