During the adequacy review period, the Governor Basin area was removed from the permit
amendment. Amendment 01 resulted in the following:
• Add approximately 16.34 areas to the permit boundary at the main portal area to increase
the total permitted area to 50.53 acres, which includes the three shafts.
Technical Revision 05 (TR-05)
In January of 2015, TR-05 was submitted to DRMS to modify the existing permit and address
the following issues:
• Provide information on the thickener that is proposed as an outside structure near the mill
building.
• Add a new concrete apron outside the filter building with a trough, sump, and pump to
ensure that no tailings slurry from the two filter bays or other chemicals leave the filter
building area.
• Revise of the chemical list for the chemicals stored on-site for the milling process.
All narrative for this addition is submitted as a new Appendix, which is Appendix 17. New mine
plan maps are included to show these changes. Maps for the thickener and the trough/sump are
also enclosed in Appendix 17.
As part of this revision, Appendix 17 was added, and Exhibit L, Maps C-2, C-3, and C-4 were
revised. TR-05 was approved in May of 2015.
Technical Revision 06 (TR-06)
TR-06 was submitted in June of 2015 in response to the detection of elevated metals
concentrations in monitoring wells GW-2A and GW-3A. To reduce the leaching of metals from
the TSFs, TR-06 modified the existing permit so that the tailings material will be placed with a
paste pH of up to 10.5. The elevated pH of the tailings material would mitigate the potential that
metals will be dissolved from contact with runoff. No documents were modified as part of this
revision. DRMS approved TR-06 in July of 2015.
Technical Revision 07 (TR-07)
TR-07 was submitted in June of 2015. This revision would allow mine water to be pumped from
the Atlas/Cumberland and Yellow Rose drift to the No. 1 shaft and lower workings via the F 10
Raise. Ultimately, TR-07 was withdrawn in August of 2015.
In November of 2015, the mine operator changed from Fortune Revenue Silver Mines, Inc. to
Ouray Silver Mines, Inc.
Revenue Mine December 2021 2
