Quantity of explosives used in blast <br /> 2. Distance to nearest occupied structure <br /> 3. Time of blast <br /> 4. Weather at blast time <br /> 5. Blast Purpose <br /> 6. Blast location <br /> 7. Pounds per delay in blast <br /> 8. Initiation system used in blast <br /> 9. Name of individual firing shot <br /> 10. License number of blaster <br /> 11. Rough blast diagram <br /> 12. Calculated pounds shot within an 8-millisecond delay period <br /> 13. Number of holes fired <br /> 14. Number of holes misfired <br /> 15. Number of holes fired at once (within 8ms of each other) <br /> 16. Blaster signs blast report <br /> 2.6 Blasting Plan Summary <br /> Planned blasting events will not adversely impact any off-site areas by following the above <br /> parameters in blast plan. <br /> 3.0 General Blasting Concerns of Project Neighbors <br /> Neighbors of operations where blasting will occur often desire assurances that explosive <br /> materials will be safely transported to and used at the blasting site. The purpose of this section <br /> is to provide general information about modern blasting methods, transportation systems and <br /> regulations applying to their use. <br /> In Colorado, all mining and construction related blasting work must be performed under the <br /> direct supervision of a State-licensed blaster. The licensed blaster may be employed directly by <br /> the Mining Company or by a qualified blasting contractor. <br /> When explosives are transported over public roads, vehicles and drivers must satisfy all <br /> stringent standards required by the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT). Drivers must <br /> have special hazardous materials training in addition to meeting the normal requirements for a <br /> commercial drivers license. <br /> 16 <br />
