November 23, 2021 C-1996-084/Lorencito Canyon Mine JLE <br />Pond 005 was dry. The primary and emergency spillway was clear and functional. The embankment was stable <br />and vegetated <br />Pond 006a was holding water but not discharging. The embankment was stable and vegetated. The primary and <br />emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br />Pond 007 was dry. The embankment was stable, and the primary and emergency spillway was clear and <br />functional. <br />Pond 009a was holding water but not discharging. The primary and emergency spillway was clear and functional. <br />The embankment was stable and vegetated. <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />The drill hole LC-07-20 was observed. Drilling appears to have been completed and the pad area was graded. A <br />small berm surrounding the pad area was in place and the drainage from the pad was controlled from a discharge <br />point where a small sump and silt fence was installed. The sealed and abandoned drill hole needs to be <br />marked with a marker in accordance with Rule 4.07.3(2)(a). <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3), Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and <br />(6)/4.03.2(5) and (6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The majority of the roads are in good repair; however, several sections of roads leading to the sediment ponds <br />have begun to rut. According to Mr. Massarotti, he will be conducting several site maintenance tasks including <br />road maintenance in the near future. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />Overall, the reclaimed areas were observed. NECC has been conducting maintenance of these areas for rills and <br />gullies for many years. NECC uses branches and slash to fill in ruts and straw waddles have been installed on <br />many of the reclaimed slopes.
