J & P TRUCKING CALICH E PIT
Exhibit E
Reclamation Plan
Proposed permitted area is currently being used as range land,
adjoining land to the north is farmland, with all other adjoining
land being range land. Approximately 3 acres in the north part
of proposed phase 1 is currently range land, however,
landowner has requested it be reclaimed to farm ground to
complete an existing irrigated circle. The recommended seed
mixture for the areas to be returned to range land is Sand
Dropseed (20%) 0.10 pis/acre, Blue Grama (25%) 0.63
pis/acre, Side oats Grama (25%) 2.28 pis/acre, Western
Wheatgrass (20%) 3.20 pis/acre, and Buffalo grass (10%)
1.65 pis/acre for a total 7.85 Pounds PLS per acre. No trees
or shrubs will be planted. All slopes will be done at 3:1 or
longer. There will be no back filling required. In preparation
for the seed bed, affected areas will be ripped with loader
teeth, topsoil will then be spread and leveled to an even depth
with a loader, anticipated depth being approx. 1 - 4 inches.
Then ripped again (topsoil) prior to seeding with the
recommended seed mixture. Seeding will be done by hand
broadcast due to the acreage. The seeding rate will be 7.85
Pounds PLS per Acre, as set by NRCS guidelines for hand
broadcasting. Seeding will be done between November 1" and
May 15th. No fertilization is anticipated to be needed. Topsoil
stockpiles, as mentioned in the mining plan, will be seeded
with Western Wheatgrass to prevent erosion if left in place
longer than one growing season. Noxious weeds will be
monitored and controlled as per the attached noxious weed
control and monitoring plan for this site. Reclamation will be
initiated inside each phase's boundaries once all desired
product has been removed from said phase, beginning with
Phase 1.
