Bowles <br /> <br />RE: Hayes Pit - File No. M-1998-065, Washington County <br /> Permit Conversion Application (CN-1) <br /> <br />Please be advised that on September 21, 2021, Washington County, whose address and telephone number <br />are 501 E 4th Ave, Otis, CO 80743; (970) 246-3347, filed an application for a/an Permit Conversion (CN- <br />1) to M1998065, Hayes Pit, which is located approximately 2.5 miles Northwest of Otis, Section 32, <br />Township 3N, Range 50W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Washington County. <br /> <br />Expand the pit from 19.5 acres to 160 acres in size. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for December 20, 2021. Written comments or objections to the <br />application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Brock F. Bowles at the Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) <br />866-3567 x 8142. <br /> <br />Washington County is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the locality <br />of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make comments on or <br />objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within twenty (20) days of <br />the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the <br />Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not receive your <br />comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume you have no <br />objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
