A good indication that the tubes need <br /> cleaning is a decrease in effluent quality (provided the unit is operated at design flows)or water backing up at the inlet <br /> and separation chamber. For proper cleaning, the tube modules should be removed and steam cleaned or pressure <br /> washed. When pressure washing,use bio-degradable cleaning detergents suitable for grease and oil. <br /> 5. Delta-Pack Removal(if fitted) <br /> Delta-Pack(foam modules),if fitted,can be removed using the included handle for cleaning as required using. To clean <br /> Delta-Pack,follow procedure outlined in(4)above. <br /> 6. Weir Plate Adjustment <br /> VTC models are furnished with one(1)adjustable Weir Plate located on on top of the Effluent Weir Wall. <br /> The operating water level,and in-turn the oil skimming rates,may be adjusted by raising or lowering the Weir Plate. <br /> MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES <br /> NOTE: In most cases it is not necessary to empty the separator for cleaning. The separator has been designed to collect solids <br /> in specific areas. Solids should be pumped or vacuumed from these collection areas. <br /> l. Sludge level accumulation in the influent and separation chambers should be periodically checked. <br /> 2.
