Public lands are the
basis for a multitude of outdoor activities, wildlife, and the irreplaceable environment providing clean air and
water for Colorado citizens who live next to them.
It's criminal that Zephyr is being allowed to prospect, mine, drill and construct helipads on our public lands.
Specifically the BLM lands(Grape Creek)were first identified by FLMPA in 1976 by Congress as land with
wilderness characteristics. In addition Grape Creek has been identified as an ACEC,and the USFS lands are
proposed wilderness. Prospect for gold elsewhere that does not affect water tables, water quality, harass
wildlife in big game winter range areas, and doesn't create intolerable noise, dust, air pollution, and the
incessant traffic that is the bain of our existence in Colorado.
Sincerely,
The Kunkel Family
Permit Number*
Enter valid letter and then numbers, for example M122112211 or C123456789.
M2021046
Permitting Action Type
Select revision type or leave blank if comment pertains to a new permit application or NOI
Permit Type
Mining and Exploratory Drilling
County
Fremont
Enter one county only
Site Name
Dawson Mine
