Your Phone Number* <br /> Used only to follow up. <br /> 7192766622 <br /> Extension <br /> Alternate Phone Number <br /> Used only to follow up. <br /> Alternate Phone Extension <br /> Connection to Operation <br /> Select all that apply <br /> ✓ Land Owner of affected land Structure Owner within 200' of affected land <br /> Mineral Owner Nearby Resident <br /> ✓ Adjacent Land Owner Concerned Citizen <br /> Government Agency Other <br /> DESCRIPTION OF COMMENT OR OBJECTION <br /> as specific as possioi(, <br /> Comment/Objection Narrative <br /> Our property,the American Placer,is immediately adjacent to the Fremont Placer where the Dawson Gold Mine <br /> would be operated.Our home,which was built in 2014, is located on the American Placer property,as is the <br /> water well which provides drinking water to our home.Our home is occupied by two adults,a 9-year-old child, <br /> and several pets. <br /> As owners of affected property,we would like to submit the following comments regarding the Dawson Gold <br /> Mine(DGM)Application, M2021046. <br /> Item 1:Water <br /> As listed in the DGM application,water is supplied to our home by a well with permit#59631.The production <br /> level and water quality of our well are of utmost concern to us.The availability of our well to provide healthy <br /> water not only impacts our health but also impacts the ability to continue to use our property as a residence. <br /> Exhibit G.2.7.1.1 (Page 35-36 of the application)states the following: <br /> "This well is located in a location indicated by the modelling that will experience less than 5 feet <br /> of water level change as a result of mining.The well is separated from the mine by faulting <br /> which may mute the projected impacts."And"The separation of the well from the mine by distance and the local <br /> faulting will limit any water quality impacts to the well." <br /> However,the full report of Bishop Brogden Associates in Appendix L states on Page 4 of the report: <br /> "Sufficient data is not available for the area to allow for a full calibration of the model.The <br /> model was refined to simulate the water level elevations in the two existing DGM monitoring <br /> wells and one existing well(Permit No.227578)completed in the hard rock as closely as possible based on the <br /> currently available pre-mining water level data." <br /> Page 5 of the report further states: <br /> "Dewatering of the mine may reduce water level in the Dakota formation up to 50 feet at <br /> the mine and drawdowns greater than 5 feet may extend distances up to 0.9 miles from <br /> the mine." <br /> The inconsistencies between Exhibit G and data in the Bishop Brogden Associates report and the Modeled <br />
