Rifle _'jravei Pit 01 A,igust 2021
6.2.8 Reclamation (Phase 4)
This section describes the mining methods, earthmoving, all water diversions and
impoundments, and size of the areas to be worked during Phase 4.
The reclamation of Stage 1 will occur upon completion of mining that area. Stage 2
reclamation will occur upon completion of the mining of that area. The entire Permitted Area
will be restored back to natural conditions upon completion of mining and removal of all
temporary structures (office, vault and haul toilets, potable water, screen, crusher,
equipment) activities. Upon completion of all mining stages, Scott Contracting, Inc. will also
cease dewatering to allow water to infiltrate the pit and create the final reclaimed pond
condition. See Section 6 for additional information regarding reclamation of the property.
5.3 Mining Timetable
Scott Contracting, Inc. anticipates extracting approximately 1 million tons of sand and gravel
over the initial (Stages 1 and 2) 6 years of mining. There are no incidental materials
expected to be extracted from this site.
Table 2 provides a range of the duration of mining by phase/stage, estimated nature, depth
and thickness of the deposit to be mined and type of overburden to be removed.
Attachment C includes the exploratory boring logs and material information.
28
