Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> CONVOENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection by Leigh Simmons of the Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety <br /> (Division). Ed Ogrodny of Mountain Coal Company(MCC)accompanied the inspection. The weather was cloudy, <br /> but warm and dry during the inspection,with heavy rain in the forecast.The mine was active. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records were available in the mine office,details are given at the end of this inspection report. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> The longwall was in the SS2 panel at around cross-cut 20. <br /> Development of the SS3 headgate was in progress,at around cross-cut 6. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> The wash plant was not running at the time of the inspection, and had not been running for several days. <br /> A small amount of processing waste had been temporarily stockpiled on the surface of the RPE. <br /> No processing waste was being transported at the time of the inspection,however the RPEE had received <br /> a considerable amount of new material since the last inspection.The first hairpin on the surface of the RPEE had <br /> been defined. Stakes marking the locations of compaction tests were visible across the surface of the pile.The <br /> armored ditch on the western edge of the pile had been protected with straw bales and a berm. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS-Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> Reclamation of the E7-6,E8-6,E8-8 and E8-9 MVB pads(and associated roads)had been completed <br /> earlier in the summer of 2021. The E8-8 and-9 pads and roads were inspected(see figure 12).The surface had <br /> been graded so as to blend with the surrounding topography. The surface had been left rough and uneven,and <br /> spread with rocks and previously grubbed vegetation. The reclaimed disturbance had been seeded and mulched <br /> with straw, and some seed mix species had germinated in areas less exposed to direct sunlight.
