Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> CONIMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection by Leigh Simmons of the Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(Division). <br /> The weather was overcast,with heavy rain at times. The status of the Elk Creek Mine is"active"however no coal <br /> is being mined and the only activity since the last inspection was site maintenance. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Records were available in the mine office,details are given at the end of this report. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Ditches and culverts around the facilities area appeared to be in good order.There was no sign of any <br /> pooled water,despite the heavy rain. <br /> REVEGETATION—Rule 4.15 <br /> Vegetative Cover;Timing: <br /> Work was ongoing to spray noxious weeds around the reclaimed disturbed areas. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE -Rule 4.12: <br /> Debris from the mudslide in B-gulch had been cleared from the road and ditch so that water could flow to <br /> and through the highway culvert.There was no more than a trickle of water flowing down the gulch at the time of <br /> the inspection, and no sign of any further slides. <br /> DOCUMENTS RECEIVED <br /> N/A <br /> OTHER(SPECIFY) <br /> N/A <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />
