Mindy Sickles of Elk Ridge Mining and <br />Reclamation accompanied the inspection and represented the Operator. The site is in Final Reclamation and was <br />not active the day of the inspection. the weather was clear and dry, Six photos accompanty this report to illustrate <br />the observed site conditions. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING — Rule 4.14 <br />Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br />Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />During the previous inspections, small erosional features were noted at the facilities area, as a result of <br />sheet flow of irrigation tail water coming from the irrigated field adjacent to the area. Photo One shows the <br />erosional features have been repaired and the facilities area as a whole is in good condition. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage — Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />All ditches and ponds were inspected for monitoring their condition in response to the recent precipitation <br />events that have occurred in the area. The south and west ditches leading to Pond 001 were observed and in good <br />condition, no evidence of erosion was noted. Examples of the condition of the two ditches can be seen in Photos <br />Two and Three. Pond 001 was also observed, and had no standing water at the time of the inspection. The <br />vegetation is thriving in response to recent water being in the pond. Photo Four shows Pond 001. The culvert <br />conveyance that delivers water from the south ditch into the pond was free from obstructions and no evidence of <br />head cutting or erosion was noted. The spillway leading from the west ditch into the pond was also in good <br />condition. <br />Pond 002 was also observed, shown in Photo Five. Similar to Pond 001 the vegetation condition suggests there <br />has been water in the pond recently but no standing water was observed at the time of the inspection.
