BENT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
112 PERMIT APPLICATION
EXHIBIT E (Reclamation Plan)
Godfrey Pit
Reclamation will follow the mining activity direction beginning on the northern edge of the affected area
and proceeding to the south as shown in the Exhibit F—Reclamation Plan map. Reclamation is
anticipated upon completion of the mining activity unless conditions require intermittent reclamation to
maintain the correct drainage slope.
The proposed material to be mined forms small hill. The overall affected land area will be graded to a
slope of 5%or less prior to revegetation. Using front end loaders for earthmoving, the overburden will
be utilized to provide the final specified grade then topsoil will be distributed to a depth of 3".
The reclaimed area will be reseeded using a grass drill with a blend of grasses recommended by the local
NRCS office, which includes buffalo grass, western wheatgrass, blue grama, sideoats grama, alkali
sacaton, and sand dropseed. The affected area is currently rangeland and will be returned to rangeland
upon reclamation.
