BENT COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
112 PERMIT APPLICATION
EXHIBIT G (Water Information)
Godfrey Pit
The Godfrey Pit has no water available and is not expected to affect any surface or subsurface water
during the mining operation. Approximately 1000 gallons of water may be hauled to the site by tank
truck for dust control, if needed.
A man-made stock pond lies approximately 500' to the west of the active mining area. Mining should
not affect the drainage course. Berms in the pit area would be implemented to insure control of storm
runoff, if necessary.
The Fort Lyon Canal is located approximately 800 feet to the south of the proposed pit area and is
approximately 40 feet lower in elevation than the pit area and at least 25 feet lower than the final
grade. No impact to the canal or water table is anticipated.
