What type(s) of material or metal is/are proposed to be extracted and describe the <br /> physical nature of the site i.e., river terrace, rocky knob, in-stream gravel deposit, <br /> etc.? <br /> The material to be excavated will be natural soils that consist of loess soil <br /> (silt with lesser amounts of clay and sand), sandy clay and minor amounts of <br /> clay stone of the Denver Formation. The general vicinity of the site is <br /> characterized by flat to gently rolling topography used primarily for livestock <br /> grazing and cropland with sparse vegetation. The slope of the natural <br /> tormaraphv is approximately 2 to 5 percent. <br /> 4. What processing or extraction method(s) will be used on site? Include any <br /> equipment or chemical(s) that will be used in the processing and extraction of the <br /> materials. <br /> Material will be hauled out using a combination of scrapers, excavators and <br /> haul trucks, or other off-road vehicles. <br /> 5. Will the extracted material be hauled offsite or used on the same parcel of <br /> property where the material is extracted? <br /> The material in this area will primary be used to support operations at the <br /> Tower Landfill. <br /> 0 <br /> 6. How will the extracted material be used on site? <br /> The soil will be used as cover material, road and berm construction and any <br /> other need to support landfill operations. <br /> 7.
