Cazier, P.E. <br /> <br />RE: LBC Bentonite Pit - File No. M-1977-231, First Bentonite Company Colorado <br /> Surety Release Request Application (SL-1) <br /> <br />Please be advised that on August 4, 2021, First Bentonite Company Colorado, whose address and telephone <br />number are 215 Teller St., Salida, CO 81201; (719) 539-4693, filed an application for a/an Surety Release <br />Request (SL- 1) to M1977231, LBC Bentonite Pit, which is located approximately 3.6 miles Southeast of <br />Howard, Section 18, Township 48N, Range 11E, 10th Principle Meridian, in Fremont County. <br /> <br />This application initiates the process by which the Permittee may be release a portion of the permit area <br />from reclamation liability by demonstrating compliance with all reclamation requirements for the requested <br />area. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for October 4, 2021. Written comments or objections to the <br />application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Timothy A. Cazier, P.E. at the <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone <br />at (303) 866-3567 x 8169. <br /> <br />Comments or objections should be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this notice to be considered in the <br />application review process.
