The <br /> applicant of the permit is Fremont Paving Et Redi Mix. The mission of Colorado Parks and <br /> Wildlife (CPW) is to perpetuate the wildlife resources of the state, to provide a quality state <br /> parks system, and to provide enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that <br /> educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado's <br /> natural resources. <br /> The proposed Mattics Pit is planned for the following legal descriptions in the 6t' Principle <br /> Meridian of Cheyenne County, Colorado: <br /> • All of Section 29, Township 12 South, Range 47 West. <br /> • Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter Section, South Half of the South Half <br /> Section, Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter Section of Section 30, Township <br /> 12 South, Range 47 West. <br /> • North Half of the South Half Section, Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter <br /> Section, All of the North Half Section of Section 31, Township 12 South, Range 47 <br /> West. <br /> • Northwest Quarter Section of Section 32, Township 12 South, Range 47 West. <br /> The Mattics Family Discretionary Trust owns the property. The proposed Mattics Pit is a 1,313- <br /> acre surface mining gravel pit that would be operated by Fremont Paving Et Redi Mix. Fremont <br /> Paving Et Redi Mix can be contacted at (719) 529-0916 or (719) 275-3264. The proposed <br /> Mattics Pit requires a Construction Material Regular (112) Operation Reclamation Permit. CPW <br /> was provided with the complete 112c permit application of the proposed project. The <br /> proposed project has an estimated timeline of 20 to 25-years, with mining being broken into <br /> three 350-acre phases and one 260-acre phase. Each phase will be mine at 100-acres <br /> increments. Reclamation is planned to following the completion of each 100-acre <br /> disturbance.
