Scott <br /> <br />RE: Black Obsidian - File No. M-1987-026, Colorado Quarries Inc <br /> Permit Conversion Application (CN-1) <br /> <br />Please be advised that on August 2, 2021, Colorado Quarries Inc, whose address and telephone <br />number are 270 S 15th St, Canon City, CO 81212; (719) 275-6894, filed an application for a/an <br />Permit Conversion (CN- 1) to M1987026, Black Obsidian, which is located approximately 0.5 <br />miles North of Silvercliffe, Section 16, Township 22S, Range 72W, 06th Principle Meridian, in <br />Custer County. <br /> <br />Application to convert from a 110c to a 112c construction materials permit by adding 136.67ac for <br />a total permit area of 145.67ac. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for November 1, 2021. Written comments or objections to <br />the application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Eric C. Scott at the <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) 866-3567 x 8140. <br /> <br />Colorado Quarries Inc is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in <br />the locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make <br />comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted <br />within twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the <br />application review process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper <br />publication date. If we do not receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public <br />comment period, the Division will assume you have no objection or comment to the proposed <br />activity.
