Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA - Processing Waste R - Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection of the Trapper Mine; permit C 1981010,operated by Trapper Mining Inc. <br /> The inspection was conducted and the report and photos prepared by me,Robin Reilley of the DRMS. <br /> Graham Roberts,Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the inspection. Skies were cloudy <br /> and hazy due to wildfires. Temperatures ranged between 65 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. There was a <br /> light breeze. Coal,overburden and ash were being hauled. Haul roads were dry and being watered. <br /> Access roads were accessible and in adequate repair. Reclamation activities appeared to be ongoing as <br /> permitted. <br /> PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS: <br /> o None at this time <br /> UPCOMING PERMITTING ACTIONS <br /> o A phase III of approximately 200 acres is scheduled for autumn. <br /> o TR for change in mining technique and orientation in L pit. <br /> OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE <br /> o Pond dredging: East Pyeatt,Horse and Middle Flume <br /> o Culvert repair 24 inch phase III reclamation above,drains road. Operator agreed to sever the <br /> culvert behind the crushed portion and build a dozer basin to settle out road runoff <br /> o Ditch reconstruction along the north edge of the N pit to handle surface flow. <br /> INSPECTION <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Two draglines are stationed in the L pit and were not operating at the time of inspection. Activities in the <br /> L,N and I pits were observed and appear to be progressing as permitted. Coal was being hauled from L <br /> pit and a blast was set up at the north end of the pit. A topsoil pile has been place in the Deacon area and <br /> one has been placed on a knoll to the north west. <br /> The N Pit floor is exposed. There are some seeps along the south wall of the pit and a small amount of <br /> water was present on the floor of the pit at the time of inspection. Some of the seepage may be from the <br /> ditch transmitting surface flow,(maintenance item). The coal level has been reached in the N Pit and <br /> loading and transport of coal was taking place at the time of inspection. Overburden was being hauled <br /> from the east end of the pit at the time of inspection. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br />
