MIDTH
Conclusions
The MC Master Composite has higher lead and zinc concentrations when compared to the
samples from the previous test work.
The sulphides are mainly liberated in all the samples. Galena and Sphalerite are
approximately 90% liberated while chalcopyrite and tetrahedrite are found in higher
amounts of middlings (20-30%).
Silver is detected in the tetrahedrite and polybasite minerals. The distribution of silver is
mainly in the tetrahedrite, accounting for 75 Distribution % of the detected silver.
The #2 cleaner concentrates contain mostly liberated galena and sphalerite. In the Pb #2
cleaner concentrate, a large amount of the sphalerite is liberated with potential for
rejection. The Zn #2 cleaner concentrate is very clean but does contain some complex
particles that may be more desirable in the Pb concentrate (containing copper and/or lead).
