The
inspection was conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS who travelled to the site with Yuma County representative
Don Marr approximately 12:00 on July 13, 2021. The site is accessed from the east side of County Road V,
immediately south of the intersection of County Road V and County Road 55.

The Crossland Pit is permitted as a dry, 43 acre sand and gravel pit. The current and proposed post-mining
land use is rangeland and the area is currently partly utilized for cattle grazing by the landowner.
Representative photos of the area have been included on page 3 of this report. The mine identification sign
was placed at the site entrance as required by rule. DRMS observed the permit boundary markers during this
investigation which were steel posts.

The SW area of the permit has been stripped and partly mined by the county and a topsoil stockpile has been
created along the western boundary of the disturbed area. Representative photos of the site have been
included. Observed activity appears to be well maintained and in compliance with the approved mining plan
for the site.

No other issues were noted during this inspection.

Inspection Contact Address
Don Marr
Yuma County
1310 S.
