PERMIT#:M-1985-082
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: RAR
INSPECTION DATE:July 1,2021
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted by the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) Safety
normal monitoring program. The current operator is 3B Enterprises LLC. The Rock Pit Mine is a 110c
permitted site that includes a total of 9 permitted acres. This site is located approximately three and half
miles southeast of Craig, Colorado. It is accessed from Moffat County Road 394 through a private driveway.
The operator was present for the inspection and Robin Reilley of the Division conducted the inspection.
The mine identification sign and affected area boundary markers are in place and in compliance with Rule
3.1.12. The sign is located at the entrance to the permit boundary.
The site is active and operates on an as need basis as material orders are placed. Loading of material was
taking place during the inspection. A scale house and scale as well as a loader were observed on site. No on
site fuel storage was observed.
Vegetation was green at the time of the inspection. The soil was dry and is naturally sandy. Weeds are
present and treatments later this summer is likely necessary. No signs of excessive erosion or other
stormwater problems were observed. Topsoil rims the site to the south and east. Topsoil piles exhibited little
if any vegetation.
Site conditions do not appear to have changed significantly since the previous inspection in March of 2017.
Currently the Division holds a financial warranty for the site in the amount of$17,435.00 which is sufficient.
No problems or violations were noted during this inspection.
Responses to this inspection report should be directed to: Robin Reilley at the Division of Reclamation, Mining
and Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, CO 80203. Direct contact can be made by phone at
303.866.3567 or via email at robin.reilley@ state.co.us
Page 2 of 6
