6.3.4 Exhibit D
Reclamation Plan
Post-mining land use will be industrial/commercial consistent with adjoining
property. The neighborhood west of Idaho Springs is historic mining evolving into
industrial and commercial business district. The site is currently a former mine site
that will be converted to an active mill site. The mill will align with land uses in the
vicinity.
The mill will consist of metal building, feedstock stockpile pad, sand stockpile
pad, settling ponds and an interior road from and onto Stanley Road. When the mill
is no longer in production, the processing components, the crusher, ball mill,
dewatering screw and shaker tables, will be removed from the building and sold at
auction. If necessary, the road will be re-graveled. Revegetating is not anticipated.
The metal building, except for processing components, will remain on site
along with loading and unloading areas that may serve as parking or loading docks
for industrial/commercial uses. The property will be listed for sale as an industrial or
commercial site.
The Clear Creek County zoning of the subject area is Mining District that
allows mining, processing and milling. The applicant commits to submitting
application to Clear Creek County for zone change to Industrial or Commercial at the
end of the mill life, approximately ten years.
In the event the property owner, Mr. Harold Lesser, chooses not to sell the
property and/or Clear Creek County zone change is not approved, he will accept the
property with aforementioned reclamation and use the property for personal needs.
