6.4. 10 Exhibit J <br /> Vegetation Information <br /> The Mattics Pit is characterized by grazing land with 75% of the native vegetation being <br /> grasses. The specific species of grasses and their approximate cover and height are as follows. <br /> Blue Grama 40% cover, average height of 2 inches. Buffalo Grass 25% cover, average height of <br /> 2 inches. Western Wheat 10% cover, average height of 2 inches. Switchgrass <1% cover, <br /> average height of 2 inches. The next highest concentration of plants are shrubs that have 10% <br /> cover with specific species being as follows. Sand Sage 6% cover, average height of 14 inches. <br /> Yucca 4% cover, average height of 14 inches. Rubber Rabbitbrush <1%, average height of 14 <br /> inches. The lowest concentration of plants are the forbs with 5% cover. The specific species in <br /> the area are as follows. Lamb's Quarters 1% cover, average height of 6 inches. Wavyleaf <br /> Thistle 1% cover, average height of 6 inches. Woolly Loco 1% cover, average height of 6 inches. <br /> Silver Sage 1% cover, average height of 6 inches.
