Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> CONVOENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Colowyo Mine conducted by Zach Trujillo of Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation,Mining and Safety(DRMS)on June 23 -24,2021.Tom Fry and Angela Aalbers representing <br /> Colowyo Coal Company(Colowyo)accompained the inspection. The weather for inspection was clouldy with <br /> light rain in the afternoon of June 24th.High temperatures during the inspection were around 75 - 80 degrees <br /> fahrenheit. On June 15,2021,the Division was notified by mine personel approximatly around 4:30 PM that a fire <br /> had occurred within Jubb Creek. The fire has been extenquished and has been reported to be around 630 acres.At <br /> the time of the inspection,the cause of the fire is still unknown and being investigated.For more information, <br /> please refer to the Slides and Other Damage section of this report. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> All records are kept on site at the Colowyo Mine's office building. Please see the Division's Availability of <br /> Records checklist at the end of this inspection report for more detailed information. <br /> The Division inspected blasting records for the Colowyo Mine as part of the record check during the complete <br /> inspection.The Division focused on blasting that occurred in the Collom Pit in June 2021.According to the <br /> blasting records,a blast occurred in the coal seam at 4:01 PM on June 15,2021 in the Collom Pit.Temperature for <br /> the day was recorded at 87.7 degrees Fahrenheit with a wind velocity of 13.3 MPH at a wind direction of 279 <br /> degrees. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2;Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br /> Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> Contemporaneous backfilling was occurring in the South Taylor Pit as mining progression continues. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> Page 2 of 7 <br />
