11. Estimated Depths of materials-According to NRCS,the overburden thickness is 10-20 inches until
get to bedrock. NRCS states that Organic matter content in the surface horizon is about 2 percent.
According to the NRCS we will have plenty of material to store for reclamation.
12. Blasting Plan:The response was adequate.
13. Mining verses groundwater depth:The response was adequate.
14.Water Usage. We will use a 6000gal water tank to haul water from Westcliffe, Co to pit and
water usage varies if production is going good, will refill tank approx. every 2 weeks.
15.Water Rights:The response was adequate.
16. Hydrologic Impacts: Drainage controls will consist of dirt 2-3 ft high berms along the northern
and eastern boundary and roads, drainage ditches, culverts, silt fences and a 4-inch riprap
sediment/catchment pond, if needed, rock will be removed prior to reclamation. Area will be
monitored and maintained.
17. Noxious weed plan:The response was adequate.
18. Reclamation Performance Standards:
a. i.According to NRCS there will be 10-20 inches of overburden.
ii. The response was adequate.
iii.The response was adequate.
b. i. NRCS stated grasses 234.48 Ibs total, 19.22 Ibs/ac,80 sq ft
ii.The response was adequate.
iii. The response was adequate.
c.The response was adequate.
19. Revise Reclamation Plan Exhibit D Map and land owners Exhibit E Map Combination of topsoil
and overburden will be 6 inches.
20. Stream Diversion Reclamation:The response was adequate.
21.Access Road: The response was adequate.
22. Reclamation Costs:
a. What we mean by mining towards reclamation is that we do not plan on creating a hole to mine,
we will be taking down the slopes and pushing materials to process, so when it comes time to
reclaim the slopes will be close to required 3-1 and 2-1 slopes.According to NRCS there will be
plenty of reclamation materials to put back 6 inches of materials.
b. The volume of 6 inches of combination of topsoil and overburden will be 8010 cubic yards.
23. Exhibit Map Requirements: The response was adequate.
