Liberty Mining
PO Box 1032
✓O Moab,UT 84532
435.259.2333
RECEI1'
June 11,2021
JUNOMSIO
MRNOF
ING `'3 ;
- Amy Yeldell
Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman St.,Room 215
Denver,CO 80203
RE: Liberty Mine M-2013-070
Amy,
As a follow up to my email of May 241,this letter is to inform you that weed mitigation took place at Liberty Mine
on May 19-20,2021 and was performed by Intermountain Weed Management. This Company will continue to
provide weed mitigation at Liberty Mine and will next be scheduled for mitigation in late Summer/early Fall of this
year. Going forward,Intermountain Weed Management will provide services at a minimum of once per year with
the likelihood being twice per year, Spring and Fall, depending on conditions of vegetation.
Enclosed are three photos taken by Nate and Eric of Intermountain Weed Management. The first two are of a plant
prominent on the site which is likely fireweed or goldenrod or chickweed of some sort(all not noxious). The third
picture is of the small population of Russian Knapweed plants(about a dozen)that were found around a hundred
yards from the mine entrance just off the road(not on site). These weeds were sprayed, and a large area was covered
to make sure none had been missed.
The mitigation team stated that the plant identified in the inspection could be mistaken for knapweed late in the year
and it is all over the mountain. They are confident it is not a Colorado noxious plant and appears to be curly cup
gumweed. It was prevalent on the mine pad.
Intermountain Weed Management can be reached by email at intermountainweed@gmail.com
Please let me know if you require any further information.
Sincerely,
Cathy Bonde
Liberty Mine LLC
435.259.2333
Cathy.ba,frontier.com
Encl.
