Therefore, exposure of <br /> ground water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br /> ® The source of water for this mining operation has not been provided. Applicant must ensure <br /> that any water rights or well permits associated with the property proposed to be used for <br /> the mining operation are decreed/permitted for industrial use. <br /> COMMENTS: The subject application is for a surface mining operation on approximately 149.51 acres <br /> located in the NE1/4 of Section 33, Township 4 North, Range 66 West of the 6t" P.M. The primary <br /> commodities to be mined at the site are topsoil overburden and borrow materials. The mining plan <br /> currently include four mining phases. The area to be mined is currently used for agricultural purposes. <br /> The site is proposed to be reclaimed to two feet below existing grade and tie into existing grade on the <br /> perimeter of the mine. Also each phase will be backfilled and all backfilling and grading will be <br /> completed after the mining process. All disturbed areas will be regraded and smoothed to a finished <br /> grade for revegetation or the final land use. <br /> Any storm water runoff intercepted by this operation that is not diverted or captured in priority must <br /> infiltrate into the ground or be released to the stream system within 72 hours.
