SURVEY RESULTS <br />4.1 USFWS Threatened, Endangered, and Candidate Species <br />According to the USFWS, there are eight species listed under the authority of the Endangered Species <br />Act (ESA) of 1973 that are known, or have the potential to occur, in the project area (USFWS 2016). <br />Based on habitat characteristics, none of the species have the potential to occur within the project <br />areas. No USFWS-listed species were observed during the field surveys. Table 3-1 lists the USFWS <br />species, habitat preferences, and potential to occur within the project area. <br />Table 4-1.
