Czapla <br /> RE: Leadville Mill-File No. M-1990-057,Union Milling Company,LLC <br /> Permit Conversion Application(CN-1) <br /> Please be advised that on May 11,2021, Union Milling Company, LLC, whose address and telephone <br /> number are P.O. Box 620490, Littleton, CO 80162-0490; (303)947-3499, filed an application for a/an <br /> Permit Conversion(CN- 1)to M1990057,Leadville Mill, which is located approximately 2 miles <br /> Southwest of Leadville, Section 20,Township 9S,Range 79W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Lake County, <br /> The Leadville mill is currently pennitted as a 110d operation. Union Milling Company, LLC is applying to <br /> convert thier existing permit to a 112d permit in order to include cyanide vat leaching, and to allow for <br /> future expansion of the tailings facility. Additionally, they are proposing to increase their operating capacity <br /> from 200 tons per day to 400 tons per day. The Operation will remain a toll mill. <br /> The application decision is scheduled for August 9,2021. Written comments or objections to the <br /> application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Dustin M. Czapla at the Division <br /> of Reclamation,Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203,by telephone at(303) <br /> 866-3567 x 8188. <br /> Union Milling Company, LLC is required to publish a public notice, in a newspaper of general <br /> circulation in the locality of the proposed mining operation, four(4)times, once a week for four(4) <br /> consecutive weeks. In order for statements supporting or objecting to the application, petitions for a <br /> hearing, and/or submissions to become a party to be considered timely, such written comments,protests, <br /> and petitions for a hearing must be received by the Division not more than twenty (20)calendar days <br /> after the last date for the newspaper publication. Written comments,protests and/or petitions must <br /> contain the name, mailing address and telephone number of the interested parties.You should contact the <br /> applicant for the newspaper publication date.
