Cazier, P.E. <br /> <br />RE: Parkdale Quarry - File No. M-1997-054, Front Range Aggregates, LLC <br /> Amendment Application (AM-2) <br /> <br />Please be advised that on May 17, 2021, Front Range Aggregates, LLC, whose address and telephone <br />number are C/o Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. 1627 Cole Boulelvard, Suite 200, Lakewood, CO 80401; <br />(720) 245-6423, filed an application for a/an Amendment (AM- 2) to M1997054, Parkdale Quarry, which is <br />located approximately 10 miles West of Canon City, Section 12, Township 18S, Range 72W, 06th Principle <br />Meridian, in Fremont County. <br /> <br />The proposed amendment will add approximately 700 acres of minable area within an approximate 1,400- <br />acre BLM lease area (refer to BLM Record of Decision for the Proposed Competitive Mineral Materials <br />Sale COC-078119), and will move the southern mining boundary for the granite deposit on private land <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for August 16, 2021. Written comments or objections to the <br />application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Timothy A. Cazier, P.E. at the <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone <br />at (303) 866-3567 x 8169. <br /> <br />Front Range Aggregates, LLC is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in <br />the locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make <br />comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within <br />twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review <br />process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not <br />receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume <br />you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
