EXHIBIT D - MINING PLAN <br /> This information provided in this Exhibit is intended to satisfy the requirements outlined in Section <br /> 6.4.4 of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Construction Material Rules and <br /> Regulations: <br /> (a) Description of the method(s) of mining to be employed in each stage of the <br /> operation as related to any surface disturbance on affected lands; <br /> The proposed amendment area includes a significant deposit of harvestable <br /> overburden used for reclamation soil in oil and gas operations located on the east side <br /> of Highway 85 in Weld County. The site is located east of Highway 85, south of Weld <br /> County Road 40 and west of Weld County Road 31. The permit boundary will include <br /> 149.51 acres +/-. <br /> Existing Conditions and Site Preparation: <br /> Existing Conditions <br /> The proposed mining area is actively being farmed. <br /> Site Preparation <br /> Very little site preparation is required, stripping the topsoil and overburden. <br /> Mining: <br /> Phase 1 —to be stripped 2-feet, stockpiled and sold. <br /> Phase 2—to be stripped 2-feet, stockpiled and sold. <br /> Phase 3—to be stripped 2-feet, stockpiled and sold. <br /> Phase 4—to be stripped 2-feet, stockpiled and sold. <br /> The operator will develop and comply with a Stormwater Management Plan and Spill, <br /> Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan. The operator will notify the Division <br /> of Mine Safety and Reclamation in the event of a reportable spill. <br /> Processing: <br /> All material mined under this proposed application will be transported by excavator, <br /> loader or haul truck to the stock pile area. <br /> Import Material: <br /> Hunt Farms may import material from and export material to other sites. The applicant <br /> is aware that in accordance with Rule 3.1.5(9) of the Construction Material Rules and <br /> Regulations, if any offsite material is used as backfill, a notarized letter will be <br /> submitted to the Division indicating the materials are inert.
