Notice of Proposed Decision The Colorado Division of Reclama- tion, Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to approve Bond Release Application No. 4 (SL-4) for the Elk Creek Mine, Permit No. C-1981-022. SL-4 releases five parcels from all reclamation liability: 10.7 acres Bear Creek B-Seam Portal & Fansite (US Steel); Lower Hubbard Creek facilities area; Hubbard Creek Fan #1 Site; 5.70 acres Sanborn Creek Mine Portals area; and San- born Creek Mine Fan site The underground operation is oper- ated by Oxbow Mining, LLC under the provisions of the Colorado Sur- face Coal Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Oxbow Mining, LLC on January 5, 2021. SL-4 seeks Phase I, II and III bond release on approximately 16.4 acres which were reclaimed between 1996 and 2011. The affected area is located in Delta, Gunnison County, approx- imately 0 miles North of Somerset, Colorado.
