Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> CONVOENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection of the Colowyo Mine conducted by Zach Trujillo of Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation,Mining and Safety(DRMS)on April 7 - 8,2021.Tom Fry representing Colowyo Coal Company <br /> (Colowyo)accompained the inspection. The weather for inspection was clear with minor snow cover in shaded <br /> areas. Temperature during the inspection was around sixty degrees fahrenheit. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> All records are kept on site at the Colowyo Mine's office building. Please see the Division's Availability of <br /> Records checklist at the end of this inspection report for more detailed information. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING—Rule 4.14 <br /> Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2;Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); <br /> Steep Slopes 4.14.2,4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials 4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br /> Backfill was occurring in both the South Taylor Pit and along the remaining highwall of the West Pit. Spoil was <br /> being transported from the southern end of the South Taylor Pit and was transported to the north end of South <br /> Taylor Pit as well as West Pit. Grading activities were not occurring during the inspection. <br /> EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE—Rule 4.09 <br /> Placement;Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br /> The West Taylor Fill was inspected. The fill remains stable,vegetated and no issues observed. <br /> Spoil placement continues along the Collom Temporary Spoil Pile. Spoil is being placed by truck and shovel <br /> operations where it is then being loaded and transported by dump truck from the active mining sections located <br /> adjacent to the facilities area for the Collom Pit, south to the excess spoil pile.The spoil pile has now begun <br /> expanding east within its approved footprint. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> Page 2 of 9 <br />
