Grows up to 4 feet tall,and can sprawl 4 feet wide,forming a dense, <br /> matted turf. Has fine,grayish-green leaves. Dominant species of the shortgrass prairie, and upland <br /> sites on the Great Plains. Used for pasture,forage, and erosion control.
