The reverse null hypothesis was rejected and for Range Site B in 2014 and 2015,the observed 1844.3
lbs/acre exceeds the 90%standard of 331.3 lbs/acre, and the observed 1190.02 lbs/acre exceeds the 90%
standard of 433.6 lbs/acre in 2015.
The reclamation standard for production in both 2014 and 2015 have been met for the Utah Tract.
Woody Plant Density
A minimum of 30 samples were collected. Observed mean allowable woody plant density in the Utah
Tract area(a combined sample size of 76),was 1288.6 stems per acre, well exceeding the 1,000 stems
per acre standard. For 2015 observed allowable woody plant density in the Utah Tract area was 1501.6
stems per acre, again, well exceeding the standard.
Revegetation success for woody plant density has been demonstrated in the Utah Tract area in 2014 and
2015 as per(CDMG 2005 revised rule,4.15.11 (3)(b)(0).
Species Diversity
Observations of the Utah Tract Range Site A in 2014 showed five species of cool season perennial grass
with at least 3% first-hit relative cover, and two perennial forbs with more than 3% first-hit relative cover.
No single species exceeded 15% first-hit relative cover, far below the threshold of concern. The four
most extensive (allowable), species totaled 35.8% first-hit relative cover. Observations in 2015 showed
six species of cool season perennial grass with at least 3% first-hit relative cover, and one perennial forb
with more than 3% first-hit relative cover. No single species exceeded 15% first-hit relative cover, well
below the threshold of concern. The four most extensive (allowable), species totaled 44.0%relative
cover.
Observations of the Utah Tract range site B area in 2014 showed five species of cool season perennial
grass with at least 3% first-hit relative cover, and one perennial forb with more than 3% first-hit relative
cover. No single species exceeded 27% first-hit relative cover, well below the threshold of concern. The
four most extensive (allowable), species totaled 53.69% first-hit relative cover. In 2015 four species of
cool season perennial grass with at least 3% first-hit relative cover were present, and one perennial forb
with more than 3% first-hit relative cover. No single species exceeded 27% first-hit relative cover. The
four most extensive (allowable), species totaled 79.07% first-hit relative cover.
All species diversity criteria were met for the Utah Tract.
Strip Pit
Cover and Species Composition
Cover and species composition were treated above in the Phase II section of his document as was the
sampling method employed. Success criteria were met. The Pre-law Strip Pit area met the applicable
Permit Number C1981044 Page 23 of 25
