Activities of State Interest (1041 ) Review Notification <br /> This is notification that the application for an Activities of State Interest (1041) <br /> review listed on the other side of this postcard has been submitted to the Boulder <br /> _ County Community Planning 8 Permitting Department. If you would like more <br /> information regarding this proposal, the file is public information and is available for <br /> review. This process requires a public hearing before the Planning Commission (PC) <br /> and the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). This process will review <br /> conformance of the proposal with the Boulder County Land Use Code and <br /> applicable Comprehensive Plans. Adjacent property owners and holders of liens, mortgages, <br /> easements or other rights in the subject property are notified of these hearings. <br /> Proposal Description:Areas and Activities of State Interest(1041) review for the expansion of Gross <br /> Dam and Reservoir to store an additional 77,000 acre-feet total of water, which includes increasing <br /> the dam height by approximately 131 feet, the dam length by approximately 790 feet, and the <br /> spillway elevation by approximately 126 feet; quarry operations to obtain aggregate required for <br /> construction; construction of a temporary concrete batch/production plant and an aggregate <br /> processing plant;permanent road improvements to Gross Dam Road from State Highway 72 to the <br /> Gross Reservoir; temporary road improvements to FS35 (Winiger Ridge Road)and FS 97(Lazy Z <br /> Road); and the relocation of the Miramounte Multi-Use Trail. <br /> Due to COVID-19 some Boulder County offices are closed.
