The revision was submitted by New Elk Coal Company, LLC. <br />All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date <br />of filing. <br /> <br />Adds a drill locations within the Lorencito Permit Area. Also, addresses outstanding issues from <br />Midterm Review-05. The applicant is not proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the <br />area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 3 miles West of Segundo on <br />Hwy 12. The permit area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />Lands south of the Middle Fork of the Purgatorie River, lands east of Cow Canyon, lands north of <br />the Puertecito Canyon, and lands west of Lorencito Canyon, covering approximately 3,142 acres. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Little Pine Canyon. <br /> <br />Because the above-referenced technical revision application may incorporate additional lands into <br />the permit area or might otherwise alter previously approved permit conditions or mitigation
