Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> NA -Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> NA -Processing Waste Y -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a complete inspection conducted by Janet Bums of CDRMS. Mr.Frank Ferris accompanied the <br /> inspection. The mine is a reclaimed surface mine. The postmining land use consists of irrigated and non-irrigated <br /> pasture. Since it is winter,the pastures are dormant. The weather was cool and cloudy. The mine has a thin <br /> cover of patchy snow. <br /> There was a fresh inch or so of snow on the area at the onset of the inspection. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Mine Records are stored in the Meeting building at New Horizon Mine. Records were verified and <br /> "Availability of Records"form is attached to this report. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> Numerous animal tracks were noted at the facilities area. Most look to be deer track,with canid tracks as <br /> well, either coyote or dog. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Neither pond was holding any water. Pond 1 had a thin cover of snow on the bottom of the pond and in <br /> protected areas. Pond 2 was dry with snow only in shadowed areas. Ditches within the permit area were in good <br /> condition. <br /> The silt fence between the south side of the irrigated pasture and the partially regraded facilities area were holding <br /> well. <br /> SLIDES and DAMAGE-Rule 4.12: <br /> According to the operator,low spot previously noted on the west side of the irrigated pasture will be <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />
