Lorencito Canvon Notice of Intent Amendment
Any road spurs required will be constructed in such a manner as to minimize erosion and disturbance
to the land surface using a dozer and/or track mounted excavator. The removal of trees will be
avoided where possible. Brush will be disposed in accordance to the agreement withthe landowners.
The amount of disturbance at each drill site will be kept to a minimum.
Topsoil Salvage
Topsoil will be salvaged from the drill sites prior to their construction Salvaging will include
removing the top 12 inches of soil or the amount available and stockpiling this material in the
general vicinity of its removal in an area where it will not be removed from the drill site area.
Stockpiles of topsoil will be compacted to prevent erosion by wind and other elements until usedfor
reclamation.
Diversion of Overland Flow
Berms/ditches will be used to keep water from flowing off the drill pad and new road construction.
There will be a silt fence down slope to catch sediment at the downslope side. Map 3 Typical Drill
Pad Sloped and Map 4 Typical Drill Pad Flat show the typical drill pad design. Ditches will be
constructed on the upslope side of the drill pad, and a sump should be built downslope side of the
pad if pad is located on a natural hillside. For a naturally flat drill padlocation ditches around the drill
pad will surround the pad and lead to a silt fence to allow for theescape of water but retention of
sediment.
Settling Ponds
No settling ponds will be used in this drill program.
5b. Specifically address:
5b-1) Locations and acreage of areas where topsoil will be salvaged and stored;
A site inspection of each location has been completed and topsoil will be salvaged at every location.
A foot of topsoil will be stripped at each pad site and be stored on the site. Topsoil at each drill pad
will be stored on the upslope side of the drill pad when safe and practicable to do so to minimize risk
of erosion as shown in Map 3 Typical Drill Pad Sloped and Map 4 Typical Drill Pad Flat. If
stripping or leveling a drill site area is required for safe location of a drill pad, topsoil and
overburden will be removed as required and saved separately, nearby in low mounds. It will be
returned as soon as practicable. Topsoil and overburden will be stored onthe upslope side of the drill
pad when safe and practicable to do so to minimize risk of erosion.
5b-2) How much earth moving will be needed for new roads or drill sites, if any;
Limited earth moving will be necessary for new roads and drill sites. Each pad is estimated to disturb
3,600 square feet. 540 ft of new road will be necessary. New road construction is very limited as the
drill locations are located next to existing roads. The new roads will be used as partof the drill pad to
minimize disturbance. The roads will be approximately 14 ft wide. Newly
9
2020 Exploration Program 2/11/2021
