allow subsurface drainage. Discharge points will be monitored and located as shown on Map G-1 <br /> — Surface Hydrology: Mining Conditions. <br /> As the WRL will be reclaimed to similar conditions as present adjacent to the CCP (see Exhibit <br /> E for details), the final 2.2H:1 V slope conditions will consist of coarse broken rock slopes with <br /> vegetation as tree tubelings and broadcast seeding amongst the rock covered slope. Currently, the <br /> drainage to become the WRL is a 1 H:1 V slope composed of road fill topped by coarse blasted <br /> rock and volunteer vegetation. The coarse broken rock derived from the quarry will be similar to <br /> riprap, like the natural talus slope, and will act as armor for the slopes at this mid-high altitude. <br /> Coarse broken rock will be installed according to the specifications shown on Map G-2—WRL <br /> Surface Hydrology: Waste Embankment Plan View and as detailed in Appendix 4. It should be <br /> noted that Dso rip-rap specifications were chosen to model the WRL's drainage but that coarse <br /> blasted rock from the quarry sized similar to Dso specifications will be used. Larger rock will be <br /> needed at the toe of the embankment in each of the two main drainages, based on the width of <br /> the channel bottom created by the embankment slope where it intercepts the natural grade on <br /> either side. <br /> After Reclamation <br /> Non-reservoir alternative (without mining phases 4 and 5) reclaimed conditions include <br /> revegetation across the entire site which will create the same conditions as baseline pre-mining <br /> vegetation. Within the quarry area, due to the changes of slopes and grades, surface water runoff <br /> will infiltrate into the reclaimed area when precipitation falls above the reclaimed area which <br /> will further encourage revegetative success within reclaimed areas. The WRL will be built in <br /> such a way as to achieve final grade and revegetation over time, creating a final condition of <br /> coarse blasted rock topped slopes with trees. The curve number for all reclaimed areas is <br /> assumed to be no greater than that of baseline conditions. The lack of compaction of material <br /> within either the WRL or the quarry area will lead to greater infiltration of surface water runoff <br /> than baseline conditions. However, the curve number is assumed to be 70 or 79, as the baseline <br /> condition is, to be conservative within the designs. <br /> If the post-mining land use includes a water development (reservoir; mining phases 4 and 5) <br /> component, all water impounded for more than 72 hours in the reservoir area will be accounted <br /> Young Ranch Resource <br /> February 2020 G-4 <br />
