The application was deemed complete and filed for <br /> review on December 21, 2020. The Division is required to issue a decision on the application by March <br /> 221 2021. The following adequacy review items will need to be addressed prior to the Division's <br /> approval of the application: <br /> 6.4.4 EXHIBIT D - Mining Plan <br /> 1. On page 7 it states "soil covering gravel averages 0 to 8 inches deep", however on page 8 it <br /> states "0 to 7 inches". Please provide a statement clarifing the depth of topsoil on site. <br /> 2. Is there a secondary commodity that will be mined? If not please provide a statement to this <br /> effect. <br /> 3. Does the Operator anticipate using explosives? If not please provide the necessary information <br /> required by Rule 6.4.4(i). <br /> 6.4.5 EXHIBIT E— Reclamation plan <br /> 4. On page 7 it is stated that there is currently 28,100 cubic yards of topsoil available. This amount <br /> is not enough to cover the entire 41.74 disturbed acres with eight inches of topsoil. For the <br /> remaining topsoil required, the Operator can do one of two things; provide a list of what <br /> additives/amendments will be used in the overburden to make it a suitable growth medium <br /> based upon a soil analysis or; The Operator may demonstrate that the overburden is of <br /> sufficient quality for use as a growth medium. <br /> 5. Will there be enough overburden to grade all slopes to a 3H:1V and provide enough cover <br /> material for topsoil, with a growth medium.
